Ultra fine filters reduce oil change intervals
One of the recent installations by Westford Services - Micfil ultra fine filters is a bypass oil filtration system for SMS Towage aboard the tug MV Riverman.
The aim of the system is to extend oil change intervals from 1,500 hours to more than 4,000 hours with regular oil sampling, reducing maintenance costs with the cleaner oil reducing wear on the engine.
